[ Appearance ] Laguna prefers to dress in whatever is comfortable at the time, and more often than not it's simply a pair of jeans and a button down collared shirt with his ever-present boots. His style is not necessarily scruffy, but with his hair loose and his clothes untidy, some could say there was room for improvement. He is 5'11" and stands with the presence of a soldier, but the demeanour of a close friend - even with strangers. His face is only ever without a smile when someone is hurt, or he himself is hurting (Which commonly only happens once a year - at the anniversary) [ Personality ] He has a love for life and living it; but has a nasty habit of getting too involved and it gets him and his friends into trouble because of it. His friends have always said he cares too much, but Laguna has only ever found this to be a strength instead of a weakness. On the outside he's so free and almost playing the clown, but he does so to hide his true self. Only his closest, most trusted friends know the real him and the reasons behind his quiet side, as well as the reasons he sometimes loses himself to his thoughts. [ History ] Laguna was born and raised on a farm on the outskirts of Balamb by his mother until he was old enough for school. His father was an Army General who died before he was born. His Wanderlust lead him into his writing, but the only way to satisfy that was to join the army at 17. With a photographic memory and a willingness to learn, Laguna quickly became an expert in both the gun and the sword, to the point where when not on missions, he was asked to tutor the newest round of recruits. He can also manipulate Thunder and Ice better than anyone that the Galbadian Army has ever known. He met his fiancé when he turned 18 on a mission to protect the town of Winhill. Raine healed him of an arrow to the thigh and the two soon became inseparable. When the time came for his company to leave the town, Laguna asked her to marry him to which she agreed. In the summer that followed, Raine drove with the intention of surprising Laguna at his home. Laguna's mother had sent her a message saying that he would be home once his current mission was over. She died in a car accident coming into Balamb. As Laguna got news of her accident, became restless and as a result, the mission he was on almost took his life. He found himself surrounded on the last night with only a cliff behind him - which he casually jumped from (though he has no memory of this) not expecting to survive. With his shoulder severely injured, the army allowed him to return to study on the proviso that he could be recalled at any stage. He was discharged honourably, and spent a year recovering before submitting his application to Dusk Academy. [ Pets ] Laguna doesn't have any one pet, but has a habit of bringing home strays. [ Other ] Laguna's photographic memory makes it easy for him to learn and absorb knowledge, but with some things even if he knows them, he doesn't understand. Since arriving at Dusk, he has been back once for two months with the army, where he was given an experimental treatment and healed completely. He's now Mako infused - And with the proper training could become as strong (if not stronger) than a SeeD first class. Laguna's also always been able to sense when people were sad or angry, though he's always passed it off as his compassionate side. More often than not, he can also feel when trouble is coming - with bad dreams and restlessness, as well as pure gut feeling, he is almost always right about them. He's also left handed primarily - though he can use either. | |||
